Job Summary The Operator is responsible for plant production operations, maintenance, and repair of all plant fixed equipment.
Job Responsibilities
Operate facility in a production mode, maintaining established efficiencies
Examine and diagnose operational problems, and perform repairs according to accepted methods
Conduct preventative maintenance practices
Perform other related duties such as maintenance/repair and yard loading when needed
Interpret and execute instructions given in both verbal and written form
Schedule or call for repairs and parts
Recognize potentially hazardous situations
Adhere to all CEMEX, O.S.H.A., and M.S.H.A rules and regulations at all times
Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
Meet or exceed company safety standards
Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years experience operating and maintaining an aggregate facility
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Welding and cutting experience highly preferred
Core understanding of conveyor belts, shaker screens, sand screws, and cyclone operations
Ability to work scheduled shift hours and be flexible with scheduling, overtime and weekends
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Ability to work scheduled shift hours and be flexible with scheduling, overtime and weekends
Read, write, and speak English
Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors
Handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Wear protective equipment while at the location

Physical Requirements
Perform all job functions including walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree, and/or operating controls

Required to talk and hear to communicate with employees/visitors and function safely around heavy rolling equipment
Walking or standing for long periods of time
Perform tasks involving walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
