General Summary
The Training and Engagement Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing programs that support the entire employee life cycle, from onboarding to offboarding. This role focuses on enhancing employee engagement, training, and career development to foster a positive, productive work environment across the credit union.
Essential Functions
Stay up to date on the most current policies, procedures, operating systems, and regulatory compliance requirements to provide accurate information to staff.
Coordinate with department leaders to identify training needs and ensure all employees have the necessary skills for their roles.
Support the new employee onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
Develop and deliver training programs, such as Symitar and MeridianLink, for new hires and existing staff.
Create and manage professional development plans and career pathing initiatives for employees.
Develop and update training materials, guides, job aids, and e-learning content.
Track the progress of trainees through routine tests, observation, and feedback from supervisors; evaluate the effectiveness of the current training through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
Plan and facilitate employee engagement activities and initiatives to improve overall company morale.
Manage and coordinate company-wide events.
Coordinate the distribution of cards, gifts, or other recognition for things such as employee birthdays, work anniversaries, etc.
Coordinate logistics for training, including calendar invites, reminders, content prep, and follow-up communications.
Maintain and update the company’s online photo directory and other internal communication platforms.
Produce a monthly team member newsletter.
Assist with the coordination of administrative duties and details related to the employee life cycle, from hiring to exiting the company.
Maintain a current list of external vendors and services related to training and events.
Coordinate with external parties for employee training, recognition, and event needs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
