Specialist I – Customer Service Rep – Student Account Services, Division of Enrollment

Job Summary Carries out all financial and Bearkat OneCard transactions between the University and students. Assists with interdepartmental business transactions, receipt and disbursement of cash, checks, and payments. Analyzes financial accounts and communicates findings to students, parents, staff, and faculty. Provides customer support for OneCard and other student account services.
Responsibilities
Receive and process monetary items for payment of various accounts.
Process interdepartmental deposits.
Produce receipts, reconcile cash drawers, and prepare daily bank deposits.
Apply exemptions, waivers, and external scholarships.
Analyze financial accounts and communicate findings.
Provide customer support for Student Account Services including financial and ID card services.
Coordinate student staff scheduling, training, and supervision.
Assist in planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring programs and services.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent; college or continued education in business and/or accounting desired.
Experience handling cash, customer service, accounting, or related field desired.
Proficiency with calculator, Microsoft Office Suite, and standard equipment.
Attention to accuracy in counting, balancing monies, and maintaining records.
Pleasant, courteous disposition and ability to work effectively with high volume of public contact.
Availability for extended hours if required by special procedures.
