Operations Supervisor, 3rd Shift (Onsite) Pratt & Whitney is seeking a dynamic leader to supervise FAA safety‑sensitive employees in the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) business at the Pratt & Whitney West Palm Beach Engine Center.

Typical working hours are 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Monday – Friday. Training may be required on the 1st or 2nd shift for up to 6 months.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a bargaining unit team responsible for induction, teardown, rebuild, and final certification of all GTF engines overhauled in WPB.

Directly meet EH&S, Customer, Quality, and Financial goals within the WPB GTF MRO facility.

Devise and execute operational strategies, production resource scheduling, and continuous improvement while communicating clearly with EC leadership, peers, and subordinates.

Apply core operating system and thrive in a highly visible, dynamic setting.

Set near‑ and long‑term operational objectives and communicate cross‑functional requirements for smooth process flow.

Hold employees accountable while maintaining quality working relationships and a world‑class safety culture.

Engage the workforce in achieving engine delivery/return goals and support CORE continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications You Must Have

Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Business Operations Management, Engineering, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience; OR High School diploma or Military/Technical Training and 9+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer

Degree in STEM field – Engineering, Business or Supply Chain.

Personnel management experience, especially within a bargaining unit/union workforce environment.

Proven ability to lead, mentor, coach, develop talent, and motivate teams to achieve business goals.

Ability to read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and engineering drawings.

Organizational and project management skills; PMP certification preferred.

Experience in the aftermarket Aerospace and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry.

Working knowledge of shop practices, quality standards, processes and procedures.

Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA).

Experience using Microsoft Office, SAP, MRP materials management, and MS Office Suite.

Effective communication skills with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers.

Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $82,000 – $164,000 per year. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, parental leave, paid time off, holidays. Incentive compensation may be offered depending on level and collective‑bargaining agreement.
