What You Will Do The Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) Finance team seeks a detail-oriented and strategic principal specialist to support our engineering group and program office.
This position will be responsible for supporting the APU funded and discretionary engineering activities and other customer funded activities in all financial aspects.
Key Responsibilities
Developing Long Range Plan and monthly forecast projections, ensuring the integrity of month end financial reporting, and managing the life cycle of work orders.
Acting as financial lead on various Program Management Teams (PMT), managing the APU capital expenditure (CAPEX) process and analyzing and reporting on APU inventory levels.
PMT role activities include being responsible for analyzing, understanding and presenting the total program sales and profitability, as well as being involved in OEM and spare parts pricing activities for the specific programs.
Capital expenditure activities will include assisting in developing Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs), championing the CARs through the approval process and forecasting and reporting out on the CAPEX activity.
Inventory related activities include monitoring and forecasting inventory balances and related reporting to the Military Engines HQ FP&A group.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance; OR an advanced degree in accounting or finance and 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
SAP knowledge and experience.
Strong MS Excel & MS PowerPoint.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Highly organized, with strong attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
U.S. Citizenship is required due to program requirements.
Qualifications We Prefer
Self‑motivated individuals who can work independently.
Ability to develop strong working relationships in order to gather information and influence decision making.
Compensation Salary Range: 82,000 USD – 164,000 USD. The range is a good‑faith estimate representing all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role, function, and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
