Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role for an Outdoor Service Manager at Wampanoag Country Club, located in Greater Hartford. The Outdoor Service Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining the golf cart fleet, cleaning and staging golf carts, assisting members and guests with their golf equipment, and ensuring all carts are properly charged and ready for use. Additional responsibilities include supporting golf course operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and assisting the golf staff as needed. The ideal candidate is someone who understands how to manage the overall outdoor operation, stays aware of all activities, and knows where to step in to support the team‑being in the right place at the right time.
Essential Responsibilities
Must be able to lift and carry golf bags (up to 40 lbs)
Ability to work well in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
Must have a driver's license, permit, or some type of strong driving experience
Greet members and guests in a friendly, professional manner.
Supervise all outside service staff
Oversee daily setup and breakdown of the golf cart fleet, practice areas, and bag drop
Ensure excellent customer service is delivered to all members and guests
Train and mentor team members on proper procedures and service standards
Maintain cleanliness, appearance, and organization of the cart barn, staging area, and practice facilities
Manage cart fleet maintenance, repairs, and charging schedule
Handle member/guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Maintain inventory of towels, tees, scorecards, water, and other supplies
Support special events, tournaments, and outings by coordinating logistics and staffing
Enforce all club policies, rules, and safety procedures
