Work Location & Travel Remote is available for candidates residing in California. Hybrid/on‑site arrangements may be available depending on candidate needs and operational requirements. Travel may be required for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial.
What You Will Own (Litigation)
Lead California sexual abuse/sexual assault civil matters from intake through resolution
Build case plans: liability, damages, discovery, depositions, expert strategy, and settlement posture
Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and settlement demands
Take and defend depositions; manage experts and key witnesses as needed
Coordinate evidence development, records strategy, and damages documentation
Drive case timelines and maintain trial readiness, even when settlement is likely
Communicate with clients with empathy, boundaries, and strict confidentiality
Provide clear updates and manage expectations without overpromising
Coordinate with client advocates, paralegals, and investigators to support clients and move cases forward
Required Qualifications
Active California bar license, in good standing
3+ years sexual abuse/sexual assault civil litigation experience and at least 6 years of civil litigation experience overall
Strong legal writing and strategic judgment
High integrity, confidentiality discipline, and professional client communication
Preferred Qualifications
Has owned a docket of sexual abuse/assault matters to conclusion (settlement and/or verdict)
Plaintiff‑side institutional liability / complex tort experience
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred, not required
E‑filing experience (preferred)
Compensation Above‑market for proven sexual abuse litigators; aggressively benchmarked and can exceed market based on ownership, experience, and performance.
