Description As a
BIM Technician , reporting to
the Operations Manager , you will have the opportunity to create, modify, validate, and prepare detailed 2D and 3D construction drawings to meet the project’s expectations and more.
Create, modify, validate, and prepare detailed 2D and 3D construction drawings to meet the project’s expectations
Create the detailed product drawings required for manufacturing
Create field install drawings for Operations team
Have basic understanding of how to read and navigate Blueprint drawings
Provide input to the project dashboard/tracking system
Collaborate with the Operations team and BIM support lead to insure that detailing and installation practices utilize the most efficient and effective solution
Collaborate with the Operations team and BIM support lead to review, evaluate, and maintain VDC deliverables
Make positive project outcomes measured in both labor efficiency and quality
Manage the workflow of all tasks assigned
Provide feedback to BIM lead and Supervisor to determine areas, systems, or assemblies that can be manufactured to improve efficiency during field installations
Complete record drawings at the end of the project
Be able to work on different types of construction projects including but not limited to commercial, mission critical, healthcare, industrial, and high rise
Understand who your “customer” is, as it relates to project support
Provide accurate timeline of efforts regarding all work packs to BIM project lead and/or Supervisor
Be able to identify and communicate potential installation clashes with other trades
Be able to read and understand submittals for physical equipment sizing and/or layout during modeling
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Strong BIM software experience or commercial field electrical experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
