The New York office of Lewis Brisbois, a full‑service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice.
The ideal candidate will be admitted to practice in New York and have at least one (1) to seven (7) years of experience in employment law matters. Prior employment litigation and New York wage & hour experience is required (preferably on the management side), and employment counseling or in‑house employment law experience is preferred. This role requires extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel.
Responsibilities
Draft and respond to discovery and initial pleadings.
Draft, argue motions, and take and defend depositions.
Provide legal counseling and training to clients and internal stakeholders.
Manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment, collaborating with senior partners and external counsel.
Qualifications
Admitted to practice in New York.
1–7 years of employment law experience, including litigation and wage‑hour matters.
Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proactive, passionate, and ready to assume a high‑level role within a sophisticated practice.
Compensation USD $145,000.00 / Yr. – USD $200,000.00 / Yr.
