About the Role
The Los Angeles, CA office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice. The ideal candidate will be admitted to practice in California and have at least one (1) to fifteen (15) years of experience in employment law matters.
Prior employment litigation experience is required (preferably on the management side), including experience handling single plaintiff employment claims as well as PAGA, Wage & Hour, and FEHA matters. Employment counseling or in-house employment law experience is preferred.
This role requires extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel. It offers an excellent opportunity for attorneys who are proactive and passionate about assuming a high‑level role providing legal service within a sophisticated practice and who are seeking to assume a significant role in all aspects of labor and employment law. The successful candidate will be a self‑starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings
Drafting and arguing motions
Taking and defending depositions
Managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
Providing extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel
Qualifications
Admitted to practice in California
1 to 15 years of experience in employment law matters
Prior employment litigation experience required (preferably on the management side)
Experience with single plaintiff employment claims, PAGA, Wage & Hour, and FEHA matters
Employment counseling or in‑house employment law experience preferred
Strong writing and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
Previous experience in litigation of any arena acceptable with interest in labor and employment law
Salary Minimum Salary: USD $145,000.00/Yr.
Maximum Salary: USD $240,000.00/Yr.
