Associate Attorney – Public Entity Defense
Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr – $190,000.00/yr A well-established firm seeks attorneys of all experience levels with public entity defense experience. This firm is hiring on a hybrid basis while training, then fully remote, with locations in Los Angeles and Orange County. Billables: 160 hours per month. Responsibilities
Represent public entities in complex litigation cases. Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare cases for trial. Manage all aspects of litigation from inception through resolution, including discovery, motions, hearings, trials, and appeals. Provide legal advice to public entities on a wide range of issues, including regulatory compliance, risk management, and policy development. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to ensure effective case management. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends affecting public entities. Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and stay abreast of changes in the legal field. Qualifications
A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the state bar and in good standing. A minimum of 1 year of experience in litigation, civil litigation, municipal litigation, and public entity litigation. Proven track record of successful representation in complex litigation cases. Exceptional legal research, analysis, and writing skills. Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and courts. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
