Permanent Tribal Law Attorney We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Tribal Law Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This unique opportunity will involve providing legal advice and representation on a variety of complex matters related to Tribal Law.

Boutique firm that provides comprehensive legal counsel to tribal governments and organizations on governance, gaming, economic development, and sovereignty-related matters.

Base Pay Range $110,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive legal advice and representation to tribal governments and their entities on a wide range of legal issues, including governance, economic development, housing, education, and healthcare.

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to tribal affairs.

Represent tribal clients in court proceedings, administrative hearings, and negotiations.

Advise tribal clients on the development and implementation of tribal codes, ordinances, and regulations.

Conduct legal research and analysis on various aspects of tribal law, federal Indian law, and other relevant legal areas.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with tribal clients, ensuring their legal needs are effectively met.

Stay current with developments in tribal law, federal Indian law, and related legal areas.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Admission to the state bar and ability to gain admission to tribal court bars.

Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on tribal law and federal Indian law.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Indian law, federal Indian policy, and tribal government operations.

Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.

Excellent negotiation skills and ability to resolve complex legal issues.

Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.

High level of professional integrity and ethical standards.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong commitment to serving tribal communities and advancing their legal rights and interests.
