Modernization Systems Engineer - SE0 Apply for this role at Lockheed Martin. The position involves providing life‑cycle services to advance mission in support of Cybersecurity and SIGINT midpoint collection, modernizing and sustaining Front End Solutions systems, and propelling the customer into product suite modernization with containerization, cloud, dataflows, and AI/ML technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement advanced techniques, tools, and exploits to stay ahead of emerging threats.

Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure delivery of production systems compatible with DoDAF, SOA, and other architectures.

Contribute to the development of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capability Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.

Assist with the development of system, functional, and allocation requirements for hardware, software, facilities, and personnel.

Coordinate resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews requiring cross‑discipline coordination.

Provide expertise in circuit‑switched and mobile telephony signaling, specific communication protocols (GSM, CDMA, 5G, HTS), application development for IPv4/IPv6 packet‑switched networks, digital forensics tools such as Wireshark, and the OSI network stack across layers 2–7.

Maintain knowledge of all protocol stacks for data transfer, including routing, encapsulation, tunneling, encryption, and legacy protocols (e.g., SONET).

Desired Skills and Qualifications

Experience in systems engineering life‑cycle, requirements management, and DoDAF or SOA architectures.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proven track record of creative thinking in cybersecurity.

Knowledge of advanced electronic systems integration and offensive cyber operations.

Experience with containerization, cloud capabilities, and AI/ML within secure environments.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a team environment.
