Supplier Qualification Leader
Ge Aerospace invites applications for the Supplier Qualification Leader (SQL). Your responsibilities will shape the future of advanced jet engines and other aerospace components by ensuring supplier onboarding, qualification, and part functionality meet high rate production standards.
Job Description Summary The SQL will manage entire project cycles for new or re‑qualified suppliers and parts. Key focus areas include project management, cross‑functional collaboration, quality and demand alignment, and operational excellence. Successful integration into GE’s Supply Chain, rigorous source change management, and clear communication across teams are essential.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead seamless supplier onboarding into GE systems.
Create and actively manage action plans for onboarding, qualification, and part qualification.
Influence and hold accountable multiple Supplier Team and support function members (Program Teams, Engineering, etc.).
Communicate business outcomes and escalation paths clearly across the organization.
Identify supplier success needs and coordinate appropriate support functions.
Own Source Change Management per defined processes, policies, and tools for an assigned portfolio of hardware, programs, and suppliers.
For new product introductions, drive enterprise ownership, milestone planning, and execution to achieve quality and delivery outcomes.
Communicate Source Change and NPI plan execution to the Commodity team and customer program focal points, including lessons learned.
Accept source change priorities from strategy and supplier teams, focusing on customer impact (delivery, quality, fleet effects).
Work autonomously within functional practices and policy standards, modifying procedures where necessary to meet quality, volume, and timeliness goals.
Employ judgment to propose solutions beyond set parameters, analyze data, and utilize internal and external sources for informed decisions.
Travel as expected: 25%.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in procurement, project management, and operations.
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, operations, and project management.

Experience in castings.
Strong communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Documenting, planning, marketing, and program execution proficiency.
Established project management skills.
