supporting manufacturing for cable assembly line, machine shop, and integration.

Job Description

Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.

Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.

Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.

Coordinates inter-departmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.

Other tasks as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

Complete understanding and application of production control principles, concepts, practices, and standards.

Full knowledge of industry practices.

May refer to established precedents and policies.

Plan schedules and arrange activities in accomplishing objectives.

Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long‑range goals of the organization.

Interacts with senior internal personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between functional departments.

Basic Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant work experience in operations planning and production scheduling or 8‑12 years (in lieu of degree) of relevant work experience in operations planning and production scheduling.

Experience in MS Office applications.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience planning in an ERP system and familiar with the MRP process.

Must be a US citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

Active DoD security clearance.

CPIM—Certified in Planning and Inventory Management.

Supply Chain experience.

Manufacturing/Production line experience.

Primary Level Salary Range: $82,900.00 – $124,300.00
