Marketplace Product Data Architect
A fast-growing technology reseller is seeking a highly detail-oriented and data-driven professional to lead the integrity of its product catalog across a multi-channel e-commerce and marketplace ecosystem. With a strong foothold in the computer hardware resale space, this organization supports global data centers and enterprise buyers with high-volume, highly configurable product offerings.
As the Marketplace Product Data Architect, you’ll serve as the operational brain behind the catalog – creating scalable systems, ensuring listing accuracy, and building structured pricing and performance models. This is not a warehouse role nor a content-only role, but rather a strategic position that connects the dots between product configuration logic, platform compliance, pricing intelligence, and performance data across Amazon, eBay, and a proprietary e-commerce platform.
Base pay range $75,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Own the architecture of catalog taxonomy, SKU schema, and product attribute frameworks
Maintain accurate, component-level data for configurable products (e.g., kits, variations, BOMs)
Ensure listings reflect valid configurations, real-time inventory availability, and product specifications
Inventory & Listing Standards
Define WMS rules for SKU modeling, kitting logic, and cycle count accuracy
Coordinate with operations teams to implement and audit SOPs for labeling, receiving, and reconciliation
Proactively monitor and suppress invalid or low-velocity listings across channels
Marketplace Optimization & Systems Integration
Build and maintain listing templates across e-commerce and marketplace platforms (Amazon, eBay, proprietary site)
Ensure marketplace listings meet SEO and compliance standards, including dynamic content and platform rules
Integrate systems (WMS, pricing engines, listing tools) to streamline data flows and listing updates
Data-Driven Pricing & Performance Monitoring
Own pricing logic and tools, including margin-based rules, aging and velocity-based adjustments, and competitor insights
Analyze performance metrics such as conversion, inventory turns, return rates, and ASP
Conduct quality assurance and test automation on pricing and product feed systems
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Provide reporting and analytical insights to Sales, Purchasing, and Executive teams
Prioritize listing updates, promotions, and product launches based on data and business goals
Qualifications Required
5+ years in e-commerce catalog or product data management, with high-SKU environments
Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, large datasets, structured data models)
Direct experience managing Amazon and/or eBay listings in a hands-on capacity
High attention to detail, with fluency in rules-based systems and structured catalog logic
Preferred
Experience with WMS or ERP platforms supporting product lifecycle and inventory accuracy
Familiarity with configurable or component-based products (e.g., PC builds, kits, custom systems)
Exposure to multichannel listing tools and automated data feeds
Interest in technology, hardware, or technical specifications – especially within electronics or IT hardware
Base salary range: $75K–$90K, with flexibility based on experience
Performance-based bonuses
Company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision coverage
Paid time off and holiday schedule aligned with work-life balance goals
