ERIEBANK, Floating Universal Associate, Full-time
Universal Associates are hardworking, self‑motivated individuals with positive attitudes who provide specialized banking experience and are empowered to recommend solutions for individual client needs. The Universal Associate will travel between ERIEBANK Ashtabula and Mentor offices. Universal Associates follow our bank philosophy: See It, Own It, Solve It and Find a Way to Say Yes.
Responsibilities
Provide enhanced client service: enthusiastically greet clients, engage in conversation, move throughout the lobby, and conduct conversations to uncover opportunities for products and services. Grow new business and drive referrals to branch colleagues and product specialists. Deliver the WOW experience by promising to do everything in our power to provide an unforgettable banking experience.
Foster our culture: maintain a positive approach to managing change, demonstrate excellent communication skills, support volunteerism and community outreach, and develop new business.
Promote digital awareness: explore and educate clients on alternative digital channels of delivery, products, and services; accept and demonstrate advances in banking technology and internal applications.
Focus on accuracy and attention to detail: perform accurate transactions, account maintenance, account opening and consumer lending; enforce associate policies, procedures, and client‑service standards. Specific daily tasks are defined in Universal Associate manuals.
Seek professional development opportunities: progress from opening accounts to consumer, home equity loans/lines, and mortgage lending. Training tracks are crafted to help understand cross‑department relationships and facilitate effective conversations.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
High school diploma or GED required; related experience and higher education preferred.
Background screening; reasonable accommodations available.
Language skills: read, comprehend, interpret documents, professional communication, interpersonal skills.
Technology skills: telephone systems, digital literacy, email, internet, intranet, core transaction system, debit card system, statement processing, cash advance machines.
Mathematical skills: basic arithmetic, rate, ratio, percent, graph interpretation.
Reasoning ability: apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems.
Physical demands: professional office environment, standing, use of computers, phones, printers; lift up to 25 lb occasionally; travel to training sessions.
