Compensation:
$130,000–$160,000 base salary + 10% annual bonus

Overview Leading medical manufacturing organization is seeking a Manager, Supplier Quality Engineering to support high-volume production operations. This role leads supplier quality strategy, owns supplier performance, and partners cross-functionally to ensure consistent delivery of compliant, high-quality components. This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity with strong visibility and impact. This position is ideal for a leader who thrives at the intersection of supplier engagement, manufacturing support, and quality excellence.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute supplier quality strategies for assigned commodities, including extrusion and related components
Own supplier performance metrics including PPM, on-time delivery, audit outcomes, and CAPA effectiveness
Lead supplier audits, assessments, qualification, and onboarding activities
Serve as escalation point for supplier-related quality and production issues
Review incoming inspection results and manage non-conformances
Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions using structured problem‑solving tools (8D, A3, DMAIC)
Partner with engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, and operations teams to align supplier quality expectations
Support new product introductions, supplier transitions, and capacity expansion initiatives
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce supplier risk and improve responsiveness
Mentor and guide team members on supplier quality best practices and standards
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
10+ years of experience in engineering and/or engineering leadership roles
Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing environments (20–30M units annually)
Strong supplier-facing experience with demonstrated problem-solving and issue resolution skills
Experience working with suppliers in regulated manufacturing environments (medical device, aerospace, defense, or automotive preferred)
Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively at all levels
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer
