Office Manager
Global Law Firm. Houston, TX
Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr
The Role The Office Manager will act as the operational lead for the Houston office, with responsibility spanning people management, facilities, finance, vendor oversight, and office operations.
Key Responsibilities
Overall day-to-day administration of the office and business services functions
Leadership and management of administrative staff, including practice assistants, facilities, reception, and office services
Partnering with office leadership and senior management to implement office strategy and priorities
Ownership of the office operating budget, including monitoring monthly spend and variance analysis
Oversight of office facilities, space planning, real estate, and building management relationships
Management of vendors and on-site service providers
Coordination of office events, firm functions, and client-related activities in partnership with Marketing and Business Development
Responsibility for office communications, intranet content, and internal engagement initiatives
Collaboration with Human Resources on recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and compensation processes
Oversight of business continuity, emergency preparedness, and disaster recovery planning
Involvement in firmwide projects and collaboration with other US and global offices as required
The Profile This role will suit an experienced office operations leader who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, professional services environment and engaging with senior stakeholders.
You will likely bring:
7+ years’ experience in an Office Administrator, Office Manager, or equivalent leadership role
Background in a law firm or professional services environment strongly preferred
Strong people management and leadership capability
Experience managing office budgets, vendors, and facilities
Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
High levels of discretion, judgment, and professionalism
Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a 24/7 environment when required
