The Program Manager, IT Delivery is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of IT projects and programs. This role utilizes project management standards, frameworks, and methodologies to coordinate the delivery teams that build out capabilities and enhancements that support business strategies & objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Support the definition and implementation of strategies to enhance the efficiency, quality, and reliability of IT project delivery

Support cross-functional teams, drive process improvements, and ensure alignment with business objectives

Establish and maintain robust project governance frameworks, tools, and templates to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards

Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure delivery excellence and report progress to senior leadership

Communicate delivery progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective decision-making

Facilitate the project review process to evaluate, select, and prioritize project requests across the organization that will accelerate strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with executive management

Manage relationships with external resourcing vendors, ensuring alignment with delivery resourcing goals and standards

Support the end-to-end delivery of complex IT projects and programs, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, budgets, and quality standards

Drive continuous improvement in IT delivery processes and methodologies

Onboard, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of IT project managers. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning

Identify opportunities to enhance IT delivery practices through automation, technology improvements, and best practices

Support the design and implementation of appropriate internal controls around application change management, as it relates to the role of IT Project Management, to maintain SOX compliance

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated experience managing multiple IT projects

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence at senior levels

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills

Support ramp-up and ramp-down of contingent resources required to deliver upon approved projects

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical teams, both in-person and remotely; strong presentation skills

Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate teams, manage projects, and drive strategic initiatives

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business or IT-related field

Advanced degree in business or IT-related field or relevant project management certification(s) (PMP, CSM, etc…) preferred

Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in IT program delivery
