Delivery Specialist – O'Reilly Auto Parts
We are looking for a Delivery Specialist to maintain and operate store vehicles, delivering parts and products to professional customers safely and efficiently. The role also includes collecting money on C.O.D. deliveries and picking up customer returns.
Responsibilities
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner
Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections
Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily inspections before operating
Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand‑held devices, and monies collected at all times
Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slips
Communicate any customer problems or special needs to store management
Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to store manager immediately
Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure vehicle at end of day
Clock in/out according to company policy
Perform additional duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, general stocking and straightening stock, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders, etc.
Occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, and/or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates (phone sales and service)
Qualifications
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations
Driving record meeting company’s 14/18‑point system
Must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company mandatory driving eligibility requirements
Desired
Familiar with automotive parts
Ability to operate other light store equipment
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
