Field Associate II – Stanton, MN Join Bayer as a Field Associate II in Stanton, Minnesota. In this field‑facing role you will support an R&D Field Trial program in crops such as corn, soybean, wheat, cotton, canola, and camelina, delivering data that informs our research pipeline.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

Coordinate with growers on leased land space and supervise local staffing during in‑season activities.

Assist with planning, conducting, and reviewing research activities such as phenotyping, study management, and data analytics.

Use equipment like tractors, planters, harvesters, drones, and digital tools to collect and deliver data throughout the growing season.

Collaborate with project team members to deliver detailed experimental protocols for research and product placement decisions.

Self‑motivate, problem‑solve and make decisions regarding time, prioritization and project management.

Build and maintain networks across diverse teams, stakeholders and the local community.

Supervise and direct third‑party labor or seasonal staff.

Communicate across teams and leaders, maintaining agility and continuous learning.

Travel up to 15 % of the time, especially during peak seasons.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Strong technical aptitude and ability to work with connected systems and data management.

Experience working in a collaborative team‑based environment.

Knowledge or ability to learn region‑specific crop production and farming practices.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

DOT medical card or ability to obtain one; meet all applicable DOT/FMCSA criteria.

Ability to obtain a Pesticide Applicator’s License and a Drone Pilot’s License (FAA Part 107).

Ability to drive a company vehicle and meet regional jurisdiction requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science or Master’s Degree in agronomy, life sciences, engineering, computer science, or a related field.

Experience in agricultural research, seed technology, or plant breeding.

Knowledge of basic statistical analysis and experimental design principles.

Mechanical and IT aptitude.

Experience with precision agriculture hardware and software.

History of implementing continuous improvements and innovation.

Physical Demands

Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.

Work in extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking.

Adaptability to high and low temperatures in a field setting.

Capability to work long hours during the peak field season.

Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $58,498.40 – $87,747.60 (annual) plus potential bonuses or commissions. Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, and sick leave.

Location and Travel Stanton, Minnesota; domestic relocation may be eligible.
