BI Analyst / Business Intelligence Engineer 2
CarePlus Health Plans is a recognized leader in healthcare delivery, operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of Humana. This remote position is based in the United States.
Pay Range Base salary: $66,800.00 – $91,100.00 per year.
Responsibilities
Develop, optimize, and maintain data models, ETL processes, and dashboards that track key performance indicators.
Support analysis of customer, provider, and operational data, ensuring actionable insights for leadership.
Automate and improve reporting processes to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Product, Finance, Operations) to ensure data consistency, governance, and alignment with enterprise standards.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of technical experience in healthcare data analysis.
2+ years of experience in SQL, SAS, or other data systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access, including pivot tables and relational database manipulation.
Expertise in assessing complex data sets and performing root‑cause analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Experience with data mining and predictive modeling techniques.
Ability to use data to drive business outcomes and decisions.
Experience in Medicare/Medicaid, CMS or other federally regulated healthcare programs.
Experience with Humana systems, specifically Service Fund.
Experience with Power BI for data visualizations.
Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
Strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Work Style & Hours Remote / Work‑at‑Home. Occasional travel to Humana offices may be required.
Typical hours: Monday‑Friday, 8 hours/day. All associates must start work between 6 AM and 9 AM EST.
Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
Interview Process We use HireVue’s virtual interview technology. Selected candidates will participate in a pre‑recorded voice interview (≈10‑15 min) and/or an SMS text interview (≈5‑10 min). Interviews will be recorded and reviewed before next‑round invitations.

Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections only if approved by leadership.
Home or hybrid associates in CA, IL, MT, or SD receive a bi‑weekly internet reimbursement.
