SunTrax Facilities Maintenance Manager - Auburndale, FL
Jacobs is seeking a
SunTrax Facilities Maintenance Manager
to join our team located in
Auburndale, FL . In this role, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and oversight of all aspects of the turnpike‑owned facilities at the SunTrax facility.
Base Pay Range $94,000.00/yr - $108,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Inspect and verify maintenance activities performed by facilities maintenance contractors.
Assist with the Facilities Rating Program (FRP) inspections, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, regulations, and safety standards.
Maintain documentation of inspections and work performed, including written reports and photographic evidence.
Manage site‑specific periodic maintenance contracts: review and approve invoices, purchase orders, and other purchasing activities.
Enforce all contractual requirements and monitor contract budget progress.
Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) on contracted work and coordinate with the FRP Team.
Perform field inspections, weekly walkthroughs, and document facility inspections.
Prepare written letters, memos, and compliance reports.
Serve on call for emergency calls from the Turnpike Operations Center for up to one week per month.
Respond to “call to report” and assist in returning facilities to safe operation.
Assist in writing scopes of work for equipment replacements and capital improvement projects.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with no major infractions.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in building management or facilities maintenance.
At least one (1) year of experience overseeing contractual documents and contracts.
Technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical (including standby generators and UPS systems).
OSHA 24‑hour Occupation Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) course certification.
Training in Maintenance of Traffic, Building, and ADA Code requirements.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office and CMMS experience preferred.
Ability to work in various weather conditions, climb ladders, and work at heights.
Professional judgment in enforcing contract requirements and code standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical college degree.
Experience monitoring and evaluating contractor performance.
Knowledge of QA/QC for Facility Asset Maintenance Programs.
Knowledge of FDOT standards and facility infrastructure safety.
