Owner’s Representative
seeking an experience
Commissioning Manager for large-scale, mission-critical data center projects. This role oversees the full commissioning lifecycle, coordinating with contractors, designers, and operators to ensure systems are installed, tested, and turned over in compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Key Responsibilities
Oversee the full commissioning lifecycle for mission-critical data center projects. Lead coordination with commissioning agents, general contractors, MEP subcontractors, design teams, and owner stakeholders. Develop and maintain commissioning plans and schedules aligned with construction and turnover milestones. Review construction documents and specifications to identify and mitigate commissioning risks. Verify systems installation and testing compliance with Owner specifications, codes, and industry standards. Manage commissioning software platforms (e.g., CxAlloy) to track issues, testing, and closeout documentation. Coordinate and manage system start-ups, sequencing, and recovery planning as needed. Lead and participate in FATs, SATs, and Integrated Systems Testing (IST). Monitor commissioning RFIs, submittals, deficiencies, and corrective actions. Perform regular site walks to confirm readiness and commissioning progress. Report commissioning KPIs and status updates to project leadership. Serve as the primary commissioning liaison in OAC meetings. Ensure commissioning documentation supports a clean and timely turnover to Operations. Support SOP development, compliance reviews, and field technical issue resolution. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent trade/superintendent experience. 7–10+ years of construction or commissioning experience, including 5+ years in data center commissioning. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, controls integration, and commissioning standards (ASHRAE, NEBB, etc.). Experience commissioning mission-critical facilities (data centers, labs, semiconductor, etc.). Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with commissioning and construction software such as CxAlloy, Bluebeam, and Procore. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Seniority level
