Managing Director of Construction Services Construction management of new construction and renovation projects in the district. Ensure compliance with all municipal planning and zoning requirements.

Education & Certification

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science, Architecture, Engineering, or Educator with related experience preferred

High School diploma/GED

Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record that is insurable with Frisco ISD insurance carrier

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

Special Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Project Management Software

Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional

Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations

Familiarity with the International Building Codes, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience

5 years’ experience in construction of K-12 educational facilities preferred

Experience in maintenance supervision, construction management, or related field

Ensure project compliance with all construction documents, building codes, and ordinances.

Coordinate and oversee construction projects for the district.

Monitor and report critical path schedules and project budgets.

Monitor materials testing, air balance, and other third-party activities and ensure compliance.

Participation in contractor evaluation as it relates to procurement of construction services.

Review plans, specifications, shop drawings, and product data; report errors or necessary changes.

Review contractor’s quality control/quality assurance procedures; report discrepancies.

Review and manage commissioning plans, and resolution of deficiencies.

Review payment applications for final approval.

Establish, monitor, and report project milestones and project closeout steps.

Coordinate and participate in building systems training for district staff.

Assist with scope development for capital projects.
