This role is with RS&H. WayUp is partnering with RS&H to hire top talent.
Opportunity RS&H is seeking a Structural Building Engineering Associate to join our building and infrastructure team in a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote. You will play an integral role by compiling data, assisting with permit and report preparation, material testing, design calculations, quantity takeoffs and estimates, engineering plans, drafting drawings and visual aids, and performing field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects.
All applicants must be located or relocate to the Space Coast.
Responsibilities
Compile data and assist with permit and report preparation.
Conduct material testing and perform elementary design calculations.
Prepare quantity takeoffs, estimates and engineering plans.
Utilize engineering software and technology for basic design tasks.
Produce drawings and visual aids.
Perform as‑needed field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited program.
Coursework in steel design and concrete design.
Awareness of applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
Basic knowledge of production software.
Prior use of FEA analysis software (STAAD, SAP2000, RISA, Ansys, etc.).
Passion for engineering and willingness to grow and learn.
Solid oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with clients, contractors, teammates, and other stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's in Structural Engineering.
2 years of experience.
