About the Role As Mavis' leaders in undercar repairs, Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles. They also perform a wide variety of undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks. Responsibilities include completing state‑mandated inspections, changing oil and filters, checking fluids, replacing worn parts, and dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, and perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts and shocks.

Complete state‑mandated inspections; change oil and filters; check fluids; replace worn parts.

Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated and repetitive movements. Mechanics must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.

Qualifications

At least 18 years of age.

Legally authorized to work in the United States.

At least 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance.

Possess an extensive personal toolbox for undercar repairs.

Preferred: state inspection license(s).

Preferred: ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).
