Job Details Position: Journeyman Millwright. Role involves skilled mechanical and electromechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery in a fast-paced high-volume metals production environment. Requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on production equipment, including motors, conveyors, drives, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machinery to minimize downtime and ensure consistent production.
Install, align, and maintain mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and material‑handling equipment.
Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance activities, documentation, and machine inspections.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow established safety/quality procedures.
Collaborate with production teams to support continuous improvement and equipment optimization.
Participate in training programs focused on problem‑solving, quality processes, and equipment upgrades.
Qualifications
Licensed Journeyman Millwright (state‑recognized certification required).
3+ years of experience in heavy industrial, manufacturing, metals, or similar environments.
Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to diagnose 3‑phase motors, conveyors, and mechanical drive systems.
Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
Ability to work multiple shifts as needed (shift preference considered).
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
