Key Responsibilities
Inspect and repair gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems on airport service vehicles.
Perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot component failures.
Replace tires and wheels and perform quality control checks on equipment.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and report all accidents to Supervisors and Managers.
Drive and operate all GSE vehicles safely and perform Daily Equipment Checks (DEC).
Qualifications
3 to 5 years of mechanical experience.
18 years of age and valid US Class A driver’s license.
Pass pre‑employment background check, physical test and drug screen.
Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
Lift or move up to 70 lbs and work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
Available to work in all weather conditions.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education and experience.
Physical Requirements The physical demands of this position include standing, walking, sitting and using hands to operate tools and controls. Lifting of up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs occasionally. Working outside in weather conditions and near moving mechanical parts, high voltages, hydraulic and pneumatic pressures.
Working Conditions Employees frequently work outside in weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, high voltages, hydraulic and pneumatic pressures and loud noise levels. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions of this job.
