In this particular position, we will start a new "branded" company to be the face of our construction division. To start, we will focus on interior finish outs at company owned and managed properties with the intentions of building company owned, ground up retail and industrial properties.

Job Summary We are seeking a "cradle-to-grave" construction professional. You will be responsible for identifying project costs, submitting winning bids, and then managing those projects through to the final punch list. This is a high impact role with significant growth potential as the company scales.

Responsibilities

Pre-construction: Perform detailed take-offs and estimates for interior scopes using industry software.

Subcontractor management: Leverage and expand a network of reliable San Antonio based subcontractors to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.

Project execution: Oversee day-to-day operations for active jobs, including scheduling, material procurement, and site visits.

Budget control: Manage RFI's, submittals, and change orders to maintain project profitability.

Client relationships: Act as the primary point of contact for architects, building owners, and tenants during the construction phase.

Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years in commercial construction, specifically in interior finish-outs.

Local knowledge: Strong understanding of the San Antonio building codes and a pre-existing relationship with local trade partners.

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Previous experience as a Construction Manager.

Deep understanding of construction management methods and processes.

Advanced knowledge of construction methods, building products, and building codes.

Strong leadership and crisis resolution skills.

Familiar with Microsoft Excel and construction management software.

Ability to break large projects into small steps.
