Building Engineer/Supervisor (Onsite)
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Base Pay Range $80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Salary & Benefits Annual salary of $70,000–$80,000 per year plus potential annual bonus, with generous health benefits, retirement options, and PTO.
What You’ll Do
Lead and mentor a maintenance team of 3 full‑time technicians and part‑time technicians.
Provide daily guidance, support, and leadership.
Oversee day‑to‑day operations for a Class A high‑rise building with 15 tenants.
Act as the primary point of contact for tenant requests.
Perform mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks ensuring HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life‑safety systems operate optimally.
Coordinate contractors, repair work, and capital projects.
Manage work orders through Yardi.
Assist with operations as new buildings are added to the portfolio.
What You’ll Bring
3+ years of mechanical/facilities maintenance experience.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
Commercial or high‑rise building experience.
Ability to manage contractors and coordinate repairs.
Hands‑on approach with strong communication and tenant service skills.
Experience with Yardi or similar systems.
Nice to Have
HVAC certification or relevant HVAC experience.
Knowledge across plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Experience implementing or improving maintenance processes.
