The statewide defense firm of Cole, Scott & Kissane seeks a defense litigation paralegal with 5+ years of recent defense litigation experience for its Orlando office location. Candidates must be experienced in general liability and be independent professionals.
Required:
Paralegal experience and trial experience.
Responsibilities include:
Preparation of discovery responses and objections
Summarization of medical and other types of records
Knowledge of trial deadlines and redaction procedures
Drafting medical chronologies, non‑party subpoenas, and deposition subpoenas
Extensive preparation of trial binders and exhibits
Assistance with large document production and use of Adobe for electronic production issues
Proper capture of time and billing according to client guidelines
Typing speed must be at least 60 words per minute.
Qualifications: 5+ years recent defense litigation experience, knowledge of trial procedures, and independence.
