Responsibilities
Coordinating benefits, subrogation, and government regulations regarding third party recoupment.
Applying accounting and business office skills to manage patient accounts.
Providing excellent public relations skills to address and resolve patient questions or complaints regarding charges.
Functioning within the scope of approved policies, procedures, and regulations of the department and organization.
Assisting with orientation, preceptorship, and management of personnel assigned to the unit.
Maintaining professional, non-defensive communication with peers, physicians, administration, patients, and visitors.
Completing yearly mandatory education requirements in a timely manner.
Obtaining necessary authorizations for treatments or procedures in oncology and hematology/oncology specialties.
Performing general account review tasks with analytical judgment.
Qualifications
Knowledge of coordination of benefits, subrogation, and related regulations.
Strong accounting and organization skills.
Excellent communication and public relations abilities.
Professionalism and ability to work without complaint.
Capability to work up to 40 hours per week with no weekend work.
Experience in oncology or hematology/oncology patient account management preferred.
