Overview Sentara Norfolk General Hospital IMCU/Stepdown 5RP Unit is hiring for a Registered Nurse for a Temporary Traveler Position. The position is a night shift (Third).
The unit provides care to the following types of neuroscience patients:
Back and Neck surgical patients
Epilepsy patients
All neurosurgeries (brain, pituitary, etc.)
Stroke patients (surgical and non-surgical)
Compensation $70 per hour
Education Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
Certification/Licensure
Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
ACLS
Experience Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience.
Hospital Overview Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is a Level 1 trauma center in Norfolk, Virginia, home to the Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance, region’s first Magnet® hospital and nationally ranked heart program at Sentara Heart Hospital. It is a 525‑bed medical center and the primary teaching institution for the adjacent Eastern Virginia Medical School. The hospital offers advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services in heart and vascular, neuroscience, neurosurgery, urology, oncology, spine care, advanced imaging, behavioral health, maternity, and women’s health.
