Principal Research Analyst – Expert
Location: Tyson’s Corner, VA, full‑time.
Overview Nightwing offers cutting‑edge cyber, data operations, systems integration and intelligence mission support services to meet our customers’ most demanding challenges. Our capabilities include cyber space operations, cyber defense and resiliency, vulnerability research, ubiquitous technical surveillance, data intelligence, lifecycle mission enablement, and software modernization.
Responsibilities Conduct mid‑level classified research, document review & analysis, and redact document content in accordance with sponsor directives and policy makers. Critically evaluate documents, analyze national security equities, and develop recommendations for protection or release of classified materials. Support program management, coordinate with stakeholders, research and obtain multi‑media equipment for review, create analysis‑based assessments for directorate reviews, and provide review support to executive, judicial and legislative branches.
Qualifications
Minimum five years’ experience with the client, ideally within multiple directorates/divisions; 11+ years as a declassification review analyst in the IC or equivalent Intelligence Analyst experience.
Current, active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Mandatory Skills
Perform a variety of complex and routine review duties in compliance with written and oral guidance and policies.
Prepare, contribute, and provide substantive review of extensive volumes of redacted materials for release.
Interact with officials within the agency, the IC, and other government agencies.
Provide on‑site program management and administrative support to facilitate tasks and special requirements.
Perform research, fact‑checking, and validation to ensure accurate data sources.
Apply analytical and critical thinking skills to derive value from data.
Communicate, present, and write findings effectively.
Build strong interpersonal relationships with sponsors’ management and stakeholders.
Apply technology skills with research, data analytics, modeling, and predictive tools.
Create forecasts and present future trends with charts, infographics, and visual aids.
Address problem‑solving challenges of data collection and analysis to guide decision‑makers toward solutions.
Remain flexible and adaptable to change.
