Position Summary The Home Equity Loan Processor handles all aspects of home equity loan processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with timelines and regulations. The processor works as a liaison for the loan officer and borrower, coordinates loan restructuring, prepares and distributes disclosures, loan estimates, and closing documents in accordance with State and Federal regulations. The role maintains confidentiality, possesses strong communication skills, and stays up‑to‑date with underwriting guidelines.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with borrowers to obtain required documents.

Adhere to and maintain knowledge of all related government regulations.

Review, prepare, and send loan disclosures for home equity loans compliant with TRID guidelines.

Ensure accuracy of information within documents prior to underwriting.

Provide support to lending partners and respond to all requests promptly.

Accurately log and track home equity files in process.

Communicate updates and final approvals to loan officers.

Prepare, review, and send closing documents, including necessary instructions and documentation.

Complete funding of home equity loans in the absence of the Home Equity Compliance Specialist.

Obtain property evaluations, title work, and flood certification as required by Telhio guidelines.

Performance Metrics

Completes general loan processing with attention to detail

Reviews and prepares and distributes accurate home equity loan documents and disclosures.

Accurately logs loans to the processing worksheet.

Works effectively with loan officers to correct loan errors and restructure loans as needed.

Submits files to Underwriting with clear, accurate stips.

Complies with Service Level Agreement

Processes loans to meet established service level agreement.

Manages pipeline to provide extraordinary service to internal and external members.

Maintains knowledge of TRID guidelines and completes disclosures accordingly.

Demonstrates teamwork and leadership

Contributes to a positive and motivating work environment that encourages individual growth and success.

Fulfills commitments to team members.

Communicates effectively with Telhio Credit Union employees.

Actively participates in 1:1 meetings with supervisor and team meetings.

Assists consumer lending or other line of business projects as needed.

Completes funding of home equity loans in the absence of the Home Equity Compliance Specialist.
