We are seeking a reliable individual for a position as a Structural/Bridge Fabricator to join a dedicated and hard‑working team in the Wilton Campus AISC Certified Fabrication Shop. M-F (6:30AM-3:00PM Shift).
The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in cutting and fabricating structural steel and bridge components according to specifications. Carpentry and/or Electrical experience a plus. You will play a key role in supporting our construction and fabrication operations, ensuring all work meets high‑quality standards and safety requirements. Required Qualifications
6-10 years of fabrication experience (Structural Steel/Bridge)
Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints
Experience operating fabrication equipment and hand tools
Welding certifications (AWS, or equivalent) are an asset
Be able to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work overtime as necessary
Knowledge of industry safety standards and procedures
OSHA 10 certificate preferred (Employer will provide training access if needed)
Must pass a pre‑hire drug screen (Drug Free Employer)
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Cut, fit, and weld steel components using FCAW, MIG and Stick welding techniques
Fabricate structural steel components using various tools and machinery
Perform layout work and ensure proper measurements and alignments
Inspect welds and fabricated components for quality and accuracy
Operate forklifts, cranes, and other equipment safely (where applicable)
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Compensation Competitive wage commensurate with experience. Hourly Range $25.00 - $33.00. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
