Benesch seeks a Construction Project Manager for our Wisconsin group, based in Neenah, WI. The position involves working with clients and managing assigned projects, overseeing day‑to‑day operations while supervising and mentoring team members.
Location Neenah, WI (Neenah office)
The Impact You Will Have
Provide leadership to assigned staff by reviewing work plans and identifying resources needed.
Support staff growth through mentorship and annual evaluations.
Execute project work plans and revisions created with the Group Manager.
Research & develop unit costs for estimating purposes on extra work and monitor budget estimates, scope, and schedule.
Oversee day‑to‑day operations: prepare progress reports, facilitate meetings, manage contract negotiations, administer sub‑agreements, and review sub‑consultant work.
Ensure resources such as vehicles and on‑site equipment are allocated and maintained.
Consistently reinforce the Benesch brand: collaboration, quality, innovation, integrity, and superior customer service.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, government agencies, and professional societies.
Provide solutions to project development and construction obstacles.
What You Will Need
Licensed PE with a BS in civil engineering OR Construction Management.
12+ years of experience working directly with DOT, Municipal, and private clients.
5+ years of managing and working on construction projects.
Experience with DOT and familiarity with applicable codes and standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; schedule review a plus.
Highly organized, punctual, and deadline‑driven.
Ability to work under time constraints with multiple concurrent activities.
Strong professional networking, client contact, contractor coordination skills.
Participation in professional organizations.
Ability to connect with internal staff at appropriate level.
