Mobile Diesel Mechanic ! As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic in Williamsport, Maryland, specializing in light and medium-duty fleet vehicles, your role is crucial in ensuring the safety, satisfaction, and excellence of our fleet maintenance services.
Compensation:
$35 - $40/hour; determined on experience. Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday!
Shift:
Monday - Friday 8:00 pm - 4:00 am (overnight/graveyard)

What the Mobile Diesel Mechanic role looks like:
Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to light and medium-duty vehicles
Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare the safety documentation required
Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
Inspect and perform work on the underparts of vehicles
Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles
Maintain general upkeep and maintenance of the mobile Service Truck
Respond to off-site client requests as needed
Interact with clients through both email and phone as necessary
Perform other duties as required for Automotive and Diesel Technician
What our ideal candidate looks like:
At least 3+ years’ experience performing vehicle maintenance or must possess an auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school
Must have a valid Driver’s License
CMV operation above 10K requiring medical certification
Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
Ability to work without direct supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
Must provide own hand tools & toolbox.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
Ability to move and position heavy objects
Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
