Role Summary Raytheon's Effector Analog & Power (EAP) Team is looking for junior to mid-level engineers with power electronics knowledge to help design robust power systems. The Effector Power Department is responsible for the development, from concept to integration, of telemetry and flight termination products; power systems from all up round to the lowest level power regulation; servo electronics; and low‑noise mixed‑signal electronics that provide the analog‑to‑digital interface to front‑end sensors. What You Will Do
Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion (and related analog) circuitry, primarily non‑isolated and isolated switch‑mode power converters and linear converters for board‑mounted applications.
Assist in architecting at the circuit card level.
Help circuit card development through design phases, from requirements definition through initial integration testing.
Drive schedule, defining tasks and timelines for circuit level work.
Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing with moderate support from senior engineers; assist with layer stack‑up definition.
Function as an individual contributor, acting also as a small team lead and pursuing personal technical growth.
Clearly present work products to functional and program leadership.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Design, analysis, test, and/or simulation experience with non‑isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck‑boost.
Experience using MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or similar tools.
Analog electronics design experience, including at least one of: FETs, BJTs, op‑amps, high/low/band‑pass filters, clock/data termination, or comparator circuits.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience with analog or digital power converter design.
Experience guiding ECAD personnel through PWB layout of power circuitry and technical drawing creation.
Experience communicating and documenting technical topics at a small team level.
Experience in any of the following: liaison between program and functional management in a cross‑matrixed organization; military specifications; design considerations for >400 V and/or >10 kW, including three‑phase power systems, power‑factor control, and inverter/rectifier development.
SIMPLIS circuit simulator, SABER system simulator, or Mathcad, and Mentor Graphics DxDesigner and/or Hyperlynx.

Benefits and Compensation The salary range for this role is $66,000 – $130,000 USD. Additional benefits depend on the business unit and agreement. Eligible applicants may be eligible for incentive compensation programs.
