Simulation and Standardized Patient Program Support Specialist [R0150112] The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for the Simulation and Standardized Patient Program Support Specialist. The primary purpose of this role is to support the Standardized Patient Education (SPE) Program and, with training, perform Clinical Simulation Specialist duties at the Clinical Simulation Center of Las Vegas (CSCLV).

Responsibilities

Assist the Standardized Patient Program Specialist and faculty in developing SP case curricula and educational activities.

Coordinate scheduling, onsite logistics, and daily operations for SP events, including recruitment, training, and oversight of standardized patients.

Maintain accurate payroll information in Workday, including timesheet preparation and employee time entry.

Provide technology support and lab resources for nursing students and external users, including high‑fidelity simulation operation, A/V recording, and task trainer maintenance.

Track inventory, plan setup and breakdown of low‑ and high‑fidelity skills labs, and ensure all equipment is operational and safe.

Assist faculty and learners on simulation equipment usage, safety protocols, and troubleshooting.

Maintain and update the clinical case database and virtual‑clinical case tracking system.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma and 2 years of related professional experience.

Credentials must be obtained prior to employment start date.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Certification as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS).
