Pay Range Base pay: $31.00/hr - $45.00/hr
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Lead HVAC Installer to manage and perform installations of residential and commercial HVAC systems. This hands‑on role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership, and a commitment to safety and quality. The Lead Installer will supervise crews, coordinate with customers and contractors, and ensure all work meets company and code standards.

Key Responsibilities
Perform efficient installation of light commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, split systems, package units, Bard units, etc.)
Identify and resolve system design issues in the field
Lead evacuation and start‑up procedures with OEM compliance
Signal crane operations safely during equipment placement
Manage project resources and timelines effectively
Install and troubleshoot low voltage (24V) and high voltage (208V–480V) systems
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with RTUs, Bard units, and split/package systems
Apply PT chart and SC/SH (subcool/superheat) knowledge to system diagnostics
Interpret and apply basic controls, estimating, and code knowledge
Size and route HVAC piping accurately based on project needs
Mentor and train Level 1 and Level 2 HVAC Technicians
Maintain 85%+ installation efficiency on assigned projects

Job Requirements
5+ years of HVAC installation experience
Strong understanding of HVAC pipe sizing, routing, and system design fundamentals
Ability to lead and train junior technicians in installation and troubleshooting best practices
Comfortable reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics; Clean Driving Record and the ability to drive a company vehicle.
Ability to pass fit‑for‑duty evaluations for contract requirements.
Ability to pass pre‑hire drug screening and maintain random drug screening per company policy
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC components, including large compressors, motors, economizers, and VAV systems.
Ability to work independently and manage service calls with minimal supervision.
Must be able to lift heavy equipment (up to 80 lbs) and work in a variety of physical conditions (e.g., climbing ladders, working in confined spaces).
Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication skills, both with customers and team members.
Preferred Qualifications
NATE Senior‑Level Certification (Preferred).
Advanced Refrigeration Certification (Preferred).
Chiller‑Specific Certification (Preferred).
BAS Training (Preferred) for troubleshooting and integrating building automation systems with HVAC equipment.
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in a variety of physical conditions.
Performance Expectations
Maintain an efficiency rate of 85%+ for all service calls and tasks.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Complete tasks on time and in adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
Provide exceptional customer service by effectively communicating technical issues and solutions.
Environmental and Physical Conditions
Conditions are typical exposure to weather conditions and require a high level of physical activity. Also, operating power or hand tools.
