Palantir Foundry Engineer- This is a contract to hire or long term contract role in Reston, VA
Our client is looking for a person to help support the end to end development of a custom Palantir Foundry platform that is used in their fraud investigation space. Must have at least 2 years working within Palantir Foundry and additional data engineering/science experience with Python/PySpark.
Must have Palantir Foundry skills - Ontology (must have), PySpark code, custom Python functions (ok with Typescript)
Data engineering/science background Python/sql/cloud (aws or other cloud acceptable)
Nice to have other Palantir skills like pipeline builder, code repos, pipeline builder, workshop, contour, AIP, quiver, marketplace, etc
Responsibilities
Emphasizes building and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and reliable software systems for data-driven decisions and operations.
Work on various aspects of the Palantir platforms, including backend systems, infrastructure, and developer productivity.
-Involved in forward-deployed roles, working directly with customers to solve their specific problems.
Key Responsibilities and Skills Software Development Building and maintaining software for Palantir's platforms, including Foundry and Gotham.
Data Engineering Developing and maintaining data pipelines, ETL workflows, and data integration solutions.
Infrastructure Building and maintaining distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and storage systems.
Agile Development Participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, and working in Agile environments.
Problem Solving Analyzing and solving technical problems, including performance issues and complex system bugs.
Collaboration Working with other engineers, data scientists, analysts, and mission stakeholders to refine data models and implement solutions.
Customer Engagement In forward-deployed roles, collaborating with customers to understand their needs and configure Palantir's platforms.
Technical Skills Proficiency in languages like Python, TypeScript, and relevant tools, libraries, and frameworks.
Analytical Approach A highly analytical approach and eagerness to solve technical problems with data structures, storage systems, and cloud infrastructure.
Skills: palantir intelligence, ontology, nice to have fraud investigation experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications: Know the end to end, data integration, ontology modeling, front end application development
Experience Level at least 5 years of overall data experience and 2 years in Palantir Foundry
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reston, VA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $110.00/hr.
