Drexel Building Supply, Inc.
The Architect of Assembly: Door Prep Fabricator
As our Door Prep Fabricator, you are the "Point A" of our craftsmanship. You don't just prep parts; you set the rhythm for the entire shop. You’ll take raw jambs, slabs, and sills and—with wizard-level precision—transform them into a perfectly machined kit ready for our assembly teams to bring to life. If you aren't accurate, the door doesn't swing. You are the foundation.
What You’ll Actually Do:
Master the Machine:
You’ll be the pilot of our routing and machining stations, expertly cutting, sizing, and boring jambs, mullions, and slabs for both interior and exterior units.
Hardware Heroics:
Standard locks? Easy. Specialized multi-point locks and custom mortise preps? That’s where you shine. You ensure every piece of hardware fits like a glove.
The Air Traffic Controller:
You’ll oversee the staging area, ensuring every prepped component is labeled clearly and delivered to the Assembly Teams exactly when they need it.
Work Order Wizardry:
You’ll read and interpret work orders with an eye for detail that catches mistakes before they happen.
The Heavy Lifting:
You’ll stay active, maneuvering 50–70 lbs throughout the day. It’s a workout you get paid for!
About You:
Tool Savvy:
You speak the language of hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic systems fluently.
The "Lego" Mindset:
You enjoy seeing how small pieces fit into a larger, high-quality finished product.
Problem Solver:
When a custom order looks tricky, you don't sweat—you think. You love a good "how-do-we-make-this-work" challenge.
Growth Mindset:
You’re a lifetime learner. You soak up "need-to-know" info and "nice-to-know" tricks like a sponge.
The "Drexel" Vibe:
You put customers first and teammates second-to-none. You go the extra mile because that’s just how you’re built.
Why You’ll Love Being a Drexel Teammate: We don’t just offer a job; we offer a stake in the company.
Ownership:
You’re not just an employee; you’re an owner through our ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan).
Security:
Full medical, dental, vision, 401k, and profit sharing.
Play:
Immediate holiday and vacation pay, plus Birthday PTO (because you shouldn't work on your big day!).
Impact:
Scholarship programs for your kids and annual charity match donations to the causes you care about.
Health & Family:
Annual reimbursements to spend on your family’s fitness and wellness.
Ready to Market Yourself? We know you’ve done cool stuff that isn't on a standard resume. Tell us your story! Why are you the "Wizard" we’re looking for?
