We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator for construction projects. Our estimators lead projects and collaborate with clients and suppliers to prepare bids and submittals for electrical construction projects. We value empowered teamwork and high standards.
What You Will Be Doing
Develop accurate and timely electrical construction estimates for competitive bids and proposals.
Analyze and interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
Determine and price value‑engineered alternatives to plans and specifications.
Perform budget pricing from schematic drawings and narratives.
Lead the estimating department, including education and development of junior staff, ongoing development and maintenance of estimating programs and databases, and maintain good relations with clients and vendors.
Work on change orders and cost‑to‑complete estimates of ongoing projects.
Create and communicate company standards for estimating electrical design/build and plans and specs work.
Review estimates created by others for accuracy and completeness.
Perform job handoffs from estimating to operations, ensuring detailed scopes of work, specifications, and job‑specific conditions are clearly communicated.
What You Need for this Position
2+ years of electrical estimating experience.
Strong understanding of estimating software.
Strong team mentality.
Experience with MS Office Suite, Accubid, LiveCount, McCormick, and ConEst preferred.
Project list or bid list is preferred, not required.
