We are seeking a detail-oriented
Electrical Estimator
to lead the estimating process for electrical projects. The ideal candidate will produce accurate, competitive cost estimates and collaborate with engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project goals.
Base pay range $85,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Analyze project plans, drawings, and specifications to define scope and resource needs
Perform electrical takeoffs: switchgear, transformers, panels, cable trays, etc.
Calculate wire and cable sizing per code and project requirements
Review one-line diagrams and schematics to quantify materials
Evaluate load requirements and ensure compliance with NEC and relevant standards
Develop detailed estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors
Review and validate vendor/supplier pricing
Collaborate across teams to ensure all cost factors are included
Lead bid proposal preparation and support junior estimators
Required Skills & Abilities
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy in estimating
Knowledge of electrical systems and general construction principles
Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software
Education & Experience
At least 1+ years of experience and equivalent trade/construction background
