Senior Bridge Engineer – Horrocks
Location: Spokane, WA
Compensation: $135,000 – $175,000 per year

Unmatched Comp Time Policy:
Hours worked over 40 in a week can be reimbursed as additional pay at an equivalent hourly rate or banked as additional PTO.

As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will support the engineering design of structures and provide top‑of‑the‑industry engineering services verified through a rigorous QC process. You will build connections with team members, develop client relationships, and utilize cutting‑edge technology to design infrastructure that will last.
Core Responsibilities
Design, evaluate, and analyze highway bridges.
Prepare designs, quantity take‑offs, cost estimates, and specifications.
Work in cooperation with bridge staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on time and within budget for local agencies, federal agencies, and state DOTs.
Perform bridge designs and load ratings using spreadsheets, finite element software, and/or other bridge software.
Design multiple bridge types in concrete and steel, wall systems, and minor structures.
Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction and objectives are met.
Apply AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design codes.
Demonstrate strong people skills and work in a multi‑disciplinary team environment.
Assist in building a strong regional presence for the firm in transportation and structural engineering.
Lead structures for projects, coordinating staff and design efforts.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree a plus.
Registered PE or SE a plus.
12+ years of experience.
Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices; some travel required ( Experience working in a bridge design team.
Design Build and Alternative Delivery experience a plus.
Established relationships with local clients (WSDOT/ITD) a plus.
Solid understanding of transportation projects.
