As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will support the engineering design of structures. You will provide top‑of‑the‑industry engineering services that are verified through a rigorous QC process. You will create connections with team members. Your efforts will support in developing client relationships through utilizing cutting‑edge technology, innovation, and designing infrastructure that will last.

What are the core responsibilities for the role?

Design, evaluate, and analyze highway bridges

Prepare designs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and specifications

Work in cooperation with bridge staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on time and within the project budget for local agencies, federal agencies, and state DOTs

Perform bridge designs and load ratings using spreadsheets, finite element software and/or other bridge software

Experience with the design of multiple bridge types in concrete and steel, wall systems, and minor structures

Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction; ensure client objectives are met

Experience with AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design codes

Strong people skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment

Assist in building a strong regional presence for the firm in transportation and structural engineering

Structures lead for projects, coordinating staff and design efforts

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:

B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Masters a plus

Registered PE, SE a plus

12+ years experience

Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices, some travel required— Experience working in bridge design team

Design Build and Alternative Delivery experience a plus

Established relationships with local clients (WSDOT/ITD) a plus

Solid understanding of transportation projects
