The Finance Manager serves as the primary financial operations professional for a growing nonprofit organization with 40+ employees and multiple permanent supportive housing entities. This position manages all day-to-day financial transactions, payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting while identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance organizational efficiency. The Finance Manager works closely with the CFO to ensure accurate, timely financial operations that support the organization's mission. About The AIM Center Inc.

AIM Center offers employment, education, housing, socialization, and wellness opportunities for adults living with serious mental illness. We are non-medical and non-clinical; however, we work with other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive mental health services.Using the Clubhouse model of psychosocial rehabilitation, AIM Center empowers participants, our members, to develop relationships and create individualized plans for recovery while working side‑by‑side with other members and staff to accomplish the work of the Clubhouse.AIM Center has been helping adults in the Chattanooga community lead fulfilling and productive lives while successfully managing their mental health since 1989. Membership is open to people ages 18 and older diagnosed with serious mental illness. Recovery is a lifelong process and the philosophy of our Clubhouse is “Once a Member, Always a Member.”We are a private, non‑profit organization supported through foundations, public and private grants and donations. Our Clubhouse is also a TennCare provider. AIM Center is the only psychosocial rehabilitation facility accredited by Clubhouse International and licensed by the State of Tennessee. Description

: Chief Financial Officer Status: Full-time, Exempt Salary Range: $50,000-$55,000 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Operations

Process all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently Maintain general ledger and ensure proper coding of all financial transactions Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts monthly Initiate wire transfers, ACH payments, and check disbursements Payroll and Benefits Administration

Process bi‑weekly payroll for 40+ employees for CFO approval Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations Administer financial aspects of employee benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off tracking Coordinate with HR on benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations Review quarterly payroll tax filings and annual W‑2/1099 processing Financial Reporting and Analysis

Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reportsGenerate budget‑to‑actual variance reports for CFO review Produce financial reports for board meetings, funders, and grant requirements Assist with preparation of the annual organizational budget Support annual audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors Process Improvement and Systems Management

Evaluate current financial processes and recommend efficiency improvements Develop and document standard operating procedures for financial operations Maintain and optimize accounting software systems Compliance and Documentation

Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and GAAP principles Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions Support grant compliance reporting and financial requirements Maintain records retention in accordance with organizational policies Other

Exhibit and encourage behaviors that uphold the AIM Center’s core vaules Participate in Clubhouse social and holiday staff rotation coverage, requiring occasional weekend and evenings which are scheduled in advance Support occasional organization‑wide activities such as fundraising events, art showcases, corporate volunteer days which may require evening or weekend time Valid Driver’s License with F Endorsement Motor Vehicle Report may not have more than three (3) chargeable accidents or three (3) moving violations during the previous 36 months as well as no DUI convictions. Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum 3‑5 years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in nonprofit sector Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling Experience with full‑cycle payroll processing Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Pass a pre‑employment background check and credit check (required of all positions with access to agency funds) Valid Driver’s License with F Endorsement Motor Vehicle Report may not have more than three (3) chargeable accidents or three (3) moving violations during the previous 36 months as well as no DUI convictions. Preferred:

Knowledge of fund accounting and grant financial management Familiarity with nonprofit Form 990 reporting Experience implementing process improvements or new financial systems
